Fredric Lord Leighton - Flaming June

Fredric Lord Leighton Flaming June

Flaming June is a fascinating work of art by the British Victorian artist Frederic Lord Leighton in 1895.  It was painted with oil on a 47” by 47” square piece of canvas.  This painting is widely believed to be Frederic Leighton’s finest masterpiece.  This classicist work of art  is thought to look back at the sleeping figures that the Greeks often painted.  These were collectively known as ‘Venus.’
