Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio was born in 29 September 1571 and died on the 18 July 1610. Caravaggio was an Italian born artist who worked in Rome, Naples, Sicily and Malta in the years 1593 to 1610. He was the first widely known representative of the Baroque school of art.
